"I'll admit, it's easy to get turned around here," he says as he turns his head toward the Chevalier. Jamie doesn't bother to change his voice. He doesn't sound overly masculine, but he doesn't sound like a girl, either, without the effort.

"But I think I know exactly where I am. Do you, Chevalier?"

Is he playing the game or did the Chevalier genuinely think he was a young lady? It's flattering really, to know all of his efforts aren't wasted. But he's certainly not interested in seducing someone that only likes women.
