The Chevalier should know what is going on here. He is well aware of every rumor at this court. He has heard of the boy in gowns and he should understand the meaning of those looks. He should put the two together, but he does not. Instead he sees an eager, mislead blonde woman making eyes at him. That is of no interest to him.

With nothing to hide regarding this decidedly platonic affair, he unsubtly smiles and lifts his hand, playfully wiggling his fingers in a slightly mocking wave. But then she looks at him once more and he eventually sighs, making his way over to her in an attempt to quell his boredom. He moves beside her, looking away from her, out on to the room, tilting his head gently towards her and speaking so that only she can hear.

"Lost, madamoiselle?"
